Strategy[]
- This skill is especially useful as a "backup weapon" when equipped with a ranged weapon, such as a cannon.
- While normally cannon-type weaponry can keep groups of enemies from getting too close (due to its high knockback), sometimes enemies break out of formation or are pushed closer by an explosion, endangering the engineer.
- Overload can then utilize the Charges built-up and take out those who managed to get too close without needing to readjust too much.
- Another useful application is to use it when facing swarms of enemies that tend to run away when hit.
- Because hunting them down one by one can be time-consuming, Overload's homing capabilities can save a lot of legwork.
- This is especially in higher tiers due to increased range.
