The Ponya are a friendly species of creatures that first appear in Torchlight II. Ponya are often wandering merchants and commonly work as enchanters.

The name of the species was confirmed by Runic's Jason Beck, who also confirmed that their design was inspired by red pandas.[1]
Several unique items are named after the Ponya, including a themed group of non-class-specific armor (such as Ponya Gloves, Ponya Mantle, etc.) that give increased magic find. The description of Red Paw Gloves indicates that Red Paw was the name of a famous outlaw hero of the Ponya.
